Canaan Fir is closely related to the Balsam Fir, with short, soft needles that tend to be medium to dark green on the top, and silverish-blue on the underside. This tree is gaining considerable popularity as a cut Christmas tree because of its open-growing patterns and strong branches. It also makes a rugged landscape tree as it is highly adaptable to many soil conditions. No clay soil. Matures at 30-40'; 15-30' spread. Needs full to partial sunlight.
