Pseudotsuga menziesii

A narrow pyramidal tree that is tight when young, becoming open and loose with age. One of the noblest  evergreens in the forest. Bright green new growth in springtime, turning deeper green for the remainder of the year. One of the most unique fragrances of all evergreens, citrus scent. This magnificent specimen has a rounded shape and a straight trunk. Prefers moist, well-drained soils, higher humidity and protection from hot, dry winds. Matures at 40-80'; 12-20' spread. (zone 4-6) Needs full sunlight.
