Very adaptable. Unusual growth habit. Very open, pyramidal shape. Branches are wider than other pears. Resistant to wind damage and pests. Tolerates all kinds of soils, extreme temperatures, and smog. Huge clusters of white flowers in the early spring. Green and glossy foliage, that turn scarlet in the fall. Matures at 40'; 28' spread. (zone 4) Needs full sunlight.
