'Autumn Brilliance' Serviceberry (Apple Serviceberry)

Amelanchier x grandiflora

Fast growing and heavy branching. Reaches mature size early. Foliage is purplish when young, maturing to dark green in the summer. Fall foliage is bright orange-red to red. Clean summer foliage to leaf spot. Strong branches resist ice breakage. Showy, white, fragrant flowers appear early spring followed by sweet, purplish- black fruit which attract birds and also used for jam, jelly and pies. Matures at 15-25'; 15-18' spread. (zone 3-8) Needs full to partial sunlight.
