Frontier Elm Frontier detail Frontier in fall Frontier Elm ("Frontier") Ulmus Introduced by the U.S. National Arboretum, it is a hybrid of U. carpinifolia and U. parvifolia. Frontier Elm features glossy green foliage in the summer, and beautiful reddish-purple to burgundy fall color which is particularly long lasting. Disease tolerant to Dutch Elm disease and Phloem Necrosis. Matures at 40'; 30' spread. (zone 4) Needs full to partial sunlight. |
