Tilia cordata Named the 1998 Iowa Tree of the Year. Greenspire is widely used as a street tree because of of its single leader and good branching habit. In June it has yellow flowers. Foliage is heart shaped, dark glossy green, which turns yellow in fall. Prefers moist, well drained soils. Attracts birds. Fragrant. Matures at 40-50'; 30' spread. (zone 3-8) Needs full to partial sunlight. |
