Paper Birch Betula papyrifera Native to northern areas. Can be single or mulit-stemmed. Has beautiful chalk-white, peeling bark. Young branches have reddish brown bark. Develops an irregular, oval-rounded crown at maturity. Dark green foliage turns bright yellow in the fall. Semi fast grower. Adapts to a wide variety of soils. Matures at 45-65'; 25-35' spread. (zone 2-7) Needs full sunlight. |
