Paul's Scarlet English Hawthorn
Crataegus laevigata
Rounded form. A showy tree in bloom with its double scarlet flowers that lighten in color with opening. Popular landscape tree. Forms a dense, upright, spreading oval tree. Foliage is glossy green. Fruit is 1/4", deep read and sparse. Tree has thorns. Tolerates tough city conditions. Matures at 15-20'; 12-18' spread. (zone 4-7) Needs full sunlight. |
