Native throughout the West. Fast growing tree. Narrow, pyramidal while young and develops a round head at maturity. Leaves are dark green in the summer with golden leaves in the autumn. Silvery gray bark. A sight when the leaves flutter. Tolerates moist, shallow, rocky or clay soils. Matures at 30'; 15' spread. (zone 3) Needs full sunlight. |
