Red Sunset is a vigorous, fast grower with a dense, pyramidal to rounded form and glossy, thick, green foliage. Selected as the Iowa Tree of the Year in 2000. Fall color is orange to red, which last several weeks. Prefers acidic soil. Can adapt well over a wide range of climate and soil conditions. Matures at 45-50'; 35-40' spread. (zone 4-7) Needs full to partial sunlight. |
