Thundercloud Plum
Prunus cerasifera
Upright tree with a dense head. Fragrant single pink flowers appears in the spring. Foliage is glossy deep purple which lasts throughout the growing season. Sparse, deep purple fruit which attracts birds. Often used in urban street plantings. Matures at 15-25'; 15-20' spread. (zones 5-8) Needs full sunlight.
